Dr. Ammar Ali Salem Al-Shanqeeti

Dr. Ammar Ali Salem Al-Shanqeeti is a scholar of Islamic studies whose training combines the traditional Mauritanian system of learning with advanced academic specialization. He memorized the Qur’an at an early age and studied foundational texts in fiqh, usul, hadith, Arabic language, and related sciences within the classical Mahadra tradition.

He later pursued formal higher education, earning advanced degrees in Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary Islamic history. His academic and teaching work reflects a commitment to preserving the integrity of classical scholarship while engaging the intellectual and social realities of the modern world.
